A new round of the FRIAS Fellowship Programmes for the Academic Year 2025/26 is open until September 13, 13:00 CET.
FRIAS supports outstanding researchers from all disciplines with individual fellowships. The funding provides researchers from the University of Freiburg or other national and international research institutions with the opportunity to fully concentrate on their research project for a limited period of time within an interdisciplinary community.
The FRIAS Fellowship Programmes 2025/26 contain:
- FRIAS Early Career Fellowships
4 to 10 months for scientists up to 8 years post-PhD
- FRIAS Senior Fellowships
3 to 8 months for scientists with at least 8 years post-PhD
- FRIAS Sustainable Governance Senior Fellowship for Researchers from Africa
7 months for scientists from the humanities and social sciences, with at least 8 years post-PhD, based in Africa
